Amanda Aguilar and Patricia Cano
Amanda Aguilar (left) and Pat Cano may not be related, but they’re as close as family. In this conversation, they discuss how, after a chance encounter, they became close compadres (in Spanish, a special person who is like family). Pat, the outgoing social butterfly, and Amanda, the fiercely loyal friend, share similar upbringings. Their earlier lives in Southern California were filled with hardship. Now, years after they forged new lives for themselves, they share a love of their families, a fondness for their Washougal, WA community, and a bond that is stronger than blood.
