Molly McKay Williams and Jen Bargar

If you care about the environment — really care — there’s quite a bit you can do. Jen Bargar knows that for a fact.

With a degree in biology from Syracuse University, Jen set out to make a difference for the local honeybee species. When that endeavor changed her worldview, she started Nature’s Haven, a native plant nursery on six acres in Camas, WA, dedicated to the importance of planting native species to positively impact our local ecosystems. Native species support local wildlife, like butterflies and birds that rely on these plants for food and reproduction. In this conversation, Jen and her friend Molly McKay Williams take some time to imagine what a difference humans could make if we worked like bees to improve our environment.

This conversation was recorded Dec. 16, 2024.
