Angie Bunda and Teresa Torres

Angie Bunda home-schooled her medically sensitive daughter during the pandemic, but when Evergreen schools reopened, she signed her daughter up. The school district, though, seemed beset by problems – there were lots of unhappy teachers, and lots of unhappy parents. Teresa Torres, who monitors  public meetings for the League of Women Voters, had been watching this particular district, too. As Angie learned to be a strong advocate, Teresa took notice. In this segment, they talk about how Angie worked up the courage to make her first public comment to the board – in song.
