Academic mentors needed for our proven CSP program

Sign up now to join our team of Community-School Partnership volunteers for the 2026-27 academic year. These volunteers work on-site at Washougal High School once a week helping students achieve their full potential. Right now, we have a particular need for science and math specialists. No teaching experience is required; Learn more and apply here.

Wet-season cleanups are underway! Sign up now.

Our dry-season cleanups for 2026 are beginning. Next dates are May 20, June 13, June 28, July 18, Aug. 1 and Aug. 22. We’re also recruiting volunteers to help us as we partner with Portland State University data science students on a study of the trash that ends up on Highway 14. Study-related tasks involved cleaning and measuring off sample segments of the roadway, then analyzing trash that we later collect. Sign up here.

Check out our slideshow and learn more about the project here.

Help maintain our Highway 14 wildflowers

In the last two years, we’ve planted 6,000 square feet of native wildflowers alongside Highway 14 in Washougal. If you drive this highway often, you probably saw them last summer, swaying pink, purple and red in the breeze. All this work takes community — people who can volunteer just one or many times. Interested? We need you. Sign up March, April and May weeding teams here.
