The East County Citizens’ Alliance (ECCA) has a strong vision of what healthy communities look like. That vision is rooted in caring for others and ourselves, supporting our civic institutions, and improving what we can for the benefit of all. We understand that all communities, ours included, are full of people with different opinions. This is exactly as it should be. Diversity of opinion is healthy and respectful dialogue around these differences contributes to a breadth and richness in our understanding. But we also assume that most people want roughly the same things: a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where people in every stage of life can find support and opportunity, including the chance to contribute meaningfully to the public life of the community.
ECCA strengthens our social fabric by bringing community members together to solve problems, learn from one another, and nurture our common life. We’re eager to get to know you, to hear your ideas, to include your voice and your energy as a valued and thoughtful member of the East County area.
Our mission is to support our community and public institutions through relationship-building, education, advocacy, and volunteer initiatives that grow positive relationships and build a vibrant, healthy East County.
